It all started when a rockstar A.Azmat was first spotted on a stage of a political sit-in. Soon after this we saw the band Strings performing their patriotic song in a historical PTI Jalsa in Lahore. Then, renowned bhangra singer and philanthropist announced not only his support for the party, but he vowed to join PTI as a political worker.

As of yet, many other musicians and bands have showed their support for Imran Khan’s political party PTI and if we have to believe the rumors, Atif Aslam too is planning to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaaf.

The cyber space is buzzing today with the rumors that Atif Aslam is to join PTI. The rumor, first reported on PlayTV’s website, is being pressed right now on various other online publications without any verification. When we tried to confirm this with our sources, we didn’t get an affirmative answer. The source however quipped:

“Atif Aslam is a big name whose popularity is far wide in the world, if he decides to support any political party in Pakistan that would be a great support for the party as Atif has a huge fan following in Pakistani youth. But I don’t see it happening! Star like Atif Aslam would not put all his weight to a single party and would rather like to remain neutral.”

It also looks like a remote possibility as Atif Aslam is on the peak of his career and busy with mega projects like Indian Reality Show Sur kShetra and Sonic Peacemakers Project. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar of the Lahore High Court expressed grave concern on Wednesday when the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) chairman confirmed the mixing of melamine, besides detergents, in packed milk. The judge asked amicus curiae Barrister Sidra to collect milk samples for tests in a laboratory in London. Barrister Zafar would contribute Rs10,000 to meet expenses of sample collection.

The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) chairman on Wednesday told a bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) that various harmful substances, such as melamine and detergents, were indeed being mixed in packaged milk

The percentage of impurities includes urea, or melamine as protein booster (30 percent), substandard cooking oil (70 percent), powdered water chestnut (40 percent), unhygienic water (50 percent), formalin, a chemical used by doctors to preserve human body (35 percent), penicillin for enhancing the thickness and fragrance of milk (47 percent), hair removing powder (29 percent), zoonotic pathogens (27 percent) and other adulterants including soda bicarbonate, to improve the taste.

PSQCA had allowed the indirect mixing of 5mg melamine in each kilogramme of milk for adults and 1mg in milk for children, which could be fatal. The petitioner, Barrister Zafarullah Khan, informed the court that amazingly the Pakistan Standard Specifications for Milk, 2009, had allowed mixing of 5 mg melamine in one kg milk for adults’ consumption and 1mg in one kg milk for children. He said the PSQCA had not given a single reason why the dangerous substance like melamine, which was a kind of plastic, was allowed to be added in milk since it was proved to have been a major cause of renal failure and other deadly diseases. He said the main reason melamine was allowed to be mixed in milk was because the major chunk of natural protein was extracted from the milk before packaging and melamine was added to artificially compensate the loss of protein and thinness of milk. He cited example of China where three persons found guilty of adding melamine in milk were hanged to death.

US : Originally 0.63 mg but now 0.063 mg per kg of body mass per day
WHO : 0.2 mg per kg of body mass per day
China : 2.5 mg per kg in products with more than 15% milk content
As the Daily Times report says, besides melamine for increasing protein content, PQSCA provided evidence that there was formalin and certain pathogens in the milk content as well. People are paying a premium price for these products. Corporate giants are even worse than the gawala at adulteration of milk. When did our morality go the dogs?

I feel that even if conclusively proven before the court and the judgment obviously public data then, mainstream media will not create the necessary hype as they would certainly fear losing advertising money from giants such as Nestle, Haleeb Foods and Engro Foods.

Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah observed: “The media is directed not to report on the contents of the report submitted by Eurofins Global Cenral, Hamburg, Germany, dated February 22, 2010, till further orders. The office is directed to intimate the media accordingly.”

Directorate General for External Security is France’s external intelligence agency. The Federal Security Service of Russian Federation (FSD) is the main domestic security agency of the Russian Federation and the main successor agency of the Soviet-era Cheka, NKVD and KGB. The Bundesnachrichtendienst is the foreign intelligence agency of the German government, under the control of the Chancellor’s Office. The Mossad is responsible for intelligence collection and covert operations including paramilitary activities. It is one of the main entities in the Israeli Intelligence Community, along with Aman (military intelligence) and Shin Bet (internal security), but its director reports directly to the Prime Minister. Israel’s intelligence agency is most famous for having taken out a number of PLO operatives in retaliation for the attack that killed eleven Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic games in Munich. However, this agency has other success to its name, including the acquisition of a MiG-21 prior to the Six-Day war of 1967 and the theft of the plans for the Mirage 5 after the deal with France went sour. Ministry of State Security is the security agency of the People’s Republic of China. It is also probably the Chinese government’s largest and most active foreign intelligence agency, though it is also involved in domestic security matters. Article 4 of the Criminal Procedure Law gives the MSS the same authority to arrest or detain people as regular police for crimes involving state security with identical supervision by the procuratorates and the courts. It is headquartered near the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing. According to Liu Fuzhi, Secretary-General of the Commission for Politics and Law under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Public Security, the mission of the MSS is to ensure “the security of the state through effective measures against enemy agents, spies, and counter-revolutionary activities designed to sabotage or overthrow China’s socialist system.” One of the primary missions of the MSS is undoubtedly to gather foreign intelligence from targets in various countries overseas. Many MSS agents are said to have operated in the Greater China region (Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) and to have integrated themselves into the world’s numerous overseas Chinese communities. Some stories have emerged. In the Cold War, MI6 recruited Oleg Penkovsky, who played a key part in the favorable resolution of the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Oleg Gordievski, who operated for a decade before MI6 extracted him via Finland. The British were even aware of Norwood’s activities, but made the decision not to tip their hand. New facebook Scam

The new scam titled – “[VIDEO] Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!” which has the message – “Lol Checkout this video its a very embarrassing moment for her” is reportedly spreading like wildfire on facebook.

The scam message comes with link that directs you to a bogus web page. The web page displays a message stating that the “divx-plugin missing” and asks you to install the plugin in order to watch the video.

DO NOT install the plugin, or do not download anything from that site. When you click on the “Install Plugin” button, a malware will be downloaded and automatically installed on your computer. This malware is designed to gather all your personal and sensitive information, which then sends it to the scammer.

Be aware that this malware can be a huge threat to your system. If in case you have accidently installed the plugin, then I recommended you to scan your computer using you anti-virus software. I also suggest you to remove the scam from your news feed by clicking on the “X” mark on the top-right corner of the post.

Note that scams like this use multiple domain and different web pages. You may see variations in the landing pages, but they are all the same.

The latest Facebook spam is “Check this out.. It is so awesome!”! This spam is going viral on Facebook. If you are affected by this Facebook spam, your account will make several posts on your friends account asking them to like a page. It uses random messages each time it posts a post on your friend’s wall.

The hacker has programmed it smartly and random messages are used so that it appears less spammy to normal Facebook users.

If you click on the link, you are automatically redirected to a Facebook page. The page also displays an application which in turn injects malware on your computer. So avoid clicking on these links and keep your account safe.

How to Deal with the Scam:

If you did make the mistake of sharing the scam link, then you are now spamming your friends with the very same message. Clean-up your newsfeed and profile to remove references to the scam. (click the “x” in the top right hand corner of the post).

Never complete surveys to unlock videos or other content on Facebook. Scammers use these tricks to either spread malware, obtain personal identification or earn commissions from marketing companies. Don’t pad their pocket and possibly open yourself up to harm!

Some of the surveys require you to download files to your computer. Never do this! If you did so in error, then run a complete system scan with a good anti-virus software program. The I.Q. Quiz scam has been around for a while, and it typically requires you to enter your cell phone number to receive the results. The scammers then bill you for premium services. Keep an eye on your phone bill for bogus charges.

The LG DoublePlay is a T-Mobile device that has dual-screens – a primary 3.5 inch display and a smaller one sitting beneath that. The display is revealed by sliding the top portion of the device up. On each side of the secondary display are keys to make up a split hardware QWERTY keyboard. The device also has a 5 megapixel 720p HD camera with flash. Unfortunately for software, we’re only getting Android 2.2 with LG’s UI.

Early press shots suggested the display would be used for launching apps when inside another but T-Mobile has described it as having more functionality than that, saying you’d be able to keep up with your social life without having to leave a game, a website or any other application.
